GPSS和Arena的区别？

Two discrete event simulation tools, GPSS and ARENA. Contrast these two. Where are they different and where are they very similar?

老师给的考试样题，我觉得可能需要从一些方面开始分析，很困惑！

我能想到（so far)：
区别：GPSS是在DOS环境下运行，而ARENA是在WINDOWS下运行。
* t$ e+ t) m4 x3 D           GPSS只能表现很少部分的仿真分析，而ARENA的仿真范围很广。
相似处：有Entities？过程控制？

0 D- C. S3 m3 ]! ]. K+ @; L& g/ A+ |' n1. Arena has the (drag and drop) graphical user interface. GPSS don't have.
9 J7 E& g, T" ]$ {% P) A9 [1 Q3 a2. Because of the applications of interface, Arena don't need to program. GPSS needs programmers.
/ Z9 s0 }, s8 q( ~4 W/ z& G3. Arena has visualization or animation.
相似处：我感觉挺难想的，Arena是通过之前的GPSS时代，发展的？

其实我觉得这道题，或许是在问现代的仿真软件与几十年前的仿真软件的差异？

这道题就是让你知道现在的软件比老一辈有多牛逼，多方便，相当于拿DOS跟Window比。

这是我的老师给的答案，应该是直接从Arena角度来说的：
    有空的大家可以看下

Most useful feature would be ability animate and step through the simulation, observing entity movement and clock time. Also the ability of Arena and GPSS to collect statistics would have helped.  The time to develop the model would have been much less than what it did take. Having a graphic or block oriented model could also help insure the model was a reasonable representation of the system.  Computer code is readable only by programs.  Arena and GPPS  can be read (viewed) by non programmers.
